October is one of the best seasons for stabile, good weather with good views on the mountain peaks. We expect a lot of sun, especially in the morning, so strong sunglasses and sun block is recommended.
Since we are not expecting rain or snow in October, the trail will be dry, and dusty with some rocks here and there. it’s a secured path that also leads over a few suspension bridges, that feature amazing views. In higher altitudes, it will get very rocky, so decent hiking boots are recommended.
We will stay in the local tea houses during the trek and will be very simple. You will be provided a room with a bed and a sleeping bag to protect you from the cold. You will be able to warm yourself on the open fire, recharge your batteries or shower.
The trek is challenging, but not the most difficult in terms of climbing or other techniques. If you have a reasonable fitness level and some basic hiking experience, you should be able to make it to base camp.
The most difficult part will be the thin air, so the fitter you are, the easier you can deal with that. That’s why we recommend weight training for the lower body, and if possible inclined hikes, or extra rounds on the stair master.
We require all travelers to have international health insurance., and especially on this trip its important to make sure it covers you above 5.000 meters.
In addition, we strongly suggest travel insurance to keep costs away from you in the unlikely event of any unforeseen circumstances. Many companies offer both as a package like World Nomads and Dr. Walter
To enter Nepal you will need to pay for the visa on arrival. For the price of 50 USD you will receive a 30 day tourist visa.
To enhance your acclimatization to the altitude and minimize the risk of elevation sickness symptoms, we’ve incorporated two days in Kathmandu and two dedicated acclimatization days during the hike. Additionally, we provide specialized breathing techniques that enhance oxygenation and acclimatization. Rest assured, we always carry medications to address altitude sickness if it arises. Your safety is our top priority, and our experienced team members are committed to ensuring everyone’s well-being and enjoyment throughout the trek.
